The base is perfect
The base is perfect for reaching Elba, and in the channel there is always a bit of wind for sailing. You can go to Elba and return to the base within half a day. The marina is beautiful and comfortable, although luggage carts are missing. The welcome was excellent... the Delphia 40 was not perfect in every respect, especially in terms of onboard equipment, but overall the boat sails very well.

Yacht condition
We have already sailed with many different charter companies, and the condition of the yacht (for a 2-year-old yacht) was very poor. I myself have a Bavaria with a competitor, and after 8 years it still looks better.

Kornati Islands
The places were beautiful, and the welcome and expertise of the charter company staff were excellent. The welcome at the various places where we stopped was less good: it was very difficult to enjoy bay life at anchor, and the attitude at mooring buoys was often unfriendly. Prices were generally high.

Contacts and organization
The on-site contact we were given was practically never seen; I sent several messages to the reference number but got no reply. On arrival in Skiathos we went to the meeting point at the Sol Levante bar and after 20 minutes of waiting I called and they said they would send someone. After another 20 minutes Mr Jannis arrived, who then became our point of contact for the entire period. Mr Jannis was always ready to resolve minor issues with the boat and certainly provided exemplary assistance. Unfortunately Mr Jannis was the only one managing goodness knows how many boats, so at check-out it took more than 3 hours (even though we had agreed an appointment) to have him available and complete the contract. I advise all customers to check carefully, perhaps even photograph, the part of the hull above water to avoid disputes over any pre-existing scratches. Kind regards Roberto pb

Pirovac to avoid
Hello, after three charters over the past five years, this year we departed from Pirovac, a marina unknown to several acquaintances and to our skipper. We arrived well in advance; our skipper even came the evening before, and the boat was practically ready as early as 2:00 p.m. After completing the paperwork at the charter company offices, we boarded our things and waited for the person who was to carry out the actual handover. We asked several times, of the staff passing from one boat to another but not ours, when someone would come to us, and the answer was always the same: I am not the one handling your boat, my colleague will come. Practically everyone left the marina, and despite check-in being set for 5:00 p.m., someone came to us only at 6:00 p.m. Four quick explanations of the essentials and off they went, having our skipper sign a checklist that, officially, had not been completed. (Also the skipper's mistake for not insisting on it.) The boat, named Dia, was not very clean, with several minor problems showing poor maintenance, and on the second day of sailing, once moored at Rogoznica, the stern platform would not open. Stuck on board, on the phone with the mechanic, we tried everything possible to solve the problem, but it could not be done. That afternoon, no swimming and impossible to go ashore for the evening. The next morning two mechanics arrived and, with coils of electrical wire and various tools, managed to fix everything. We set off again a few hours late. On Tuesday morning we ran out of gas, and after contacting our representative we understood there was no spare cylinder on board, even though it was marked on the checklist (but since we had not checked everything at the start, we had missed it). Another morning lost searching for a cylinder. The charter company wanted to bring us one, but we would have had to go back up to Sibenik. We looked for a place to buy one and purchased a full cylinder at Primosten marina. Another morning lost. Over the following days, a few more fuse problems, and an ever greater certainty that, even if the boat were from 2018, which we were unable to verify as stated in the contract, it was really poorly maintained with little general upkeep. It is disappointing to say that there were several problems, something that had never happened to us before. From Split or Punat we had always had greater cooperation, and the boats, even if older, were always perfect. The organization at Pirovac Marina seemed truly poor, and we will certainly not return.

The Charter Company responded to this review 24.07.2019

We are sorry to hear this complaint because we tried hard to accommodate the clients during their stay. The clients were on the boat soon after their arrival and started checking the boat by themselves first.
During this time we had no complaints that the boat is not clean and if this were true they would inform me immediately at the office.

Regarding the check-in procedure, early check-in has priority. Marinero assigned to Dia had to make these first and then go to the clients .
The clients did not check the boat properly as instructed and the second gas bottle was missing. Please note that this was indeed our mistake since the marinero needs to put the bottles on boat.
We accepted this and try to arrange the pick-up but the clients did not arrive on meeting point in Šibenik.

To summarize the technical issues these were as follows:

On check-in all was OK and functional. Clients tested the anchor winch and bathing platform as per standard procedure.

Client reported the platform problem in the evening and this was resolved in the morning next day as per contractual time and as arranged with the client.

Problems with the fuses of the anchor winch were caused by the clients. They overload the fuses with bad handling of the winch. This was pointed out to the clients.

Gas bottle problem was to be resolved and our staff waited in Šibenik but the client did not arrive.

Finally, we apologize for the gas bottle since this was our staff member’s mistake. We are ready to give the 50 euro voucher to the client for this inconvenience for his next charter in 2019 or 2020.
We are there to help the clients during the charter as seen from these pics and we refuse the statement that the organization and maintenance of the fleet is poor.
This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Marenauta.

Croatia, after a few years, unfortunately less welcoming, expensive...
The Daiquiri boat, solid and sturdy despite everything, nevertheless had a checkout list with 20 points and some serious issues. I made a handwritten list in English, which they did not deem worth copying. Contract with Marenauta, voucher with another operator, operated by the charter company. First time in my life I have seen such a cascade of... responsibility. It should have been documented formally beforehand. Disappointing and unpleasant. I am available for details. TB
