A week is not enough to sail between the Pontine and Phlegraean Islands, so we chartered Easy Leaving, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 409, for 15 days with Marenauta, given last year's excellent experience in Corsica. The boat was comfortable, with an excellent engine, and fitted with roller furling main and jib. The only downside was that the headsail was somewhere between a jib and a genoa, but it is well known that charter companies often tend to under-canvass because they do not know who will be chartering the boat. The anchor chain was also 60 m long, which is important for anchoring in deep water. My group is made up of people who love living on the sea and on the boat, so since we made heavy use of the stove, we also ran out of the spare gas cylinder, which we bought in Forio and were promptly reimbursed for by the charter company when we returned to Marina di Stabia. Of the Balearic Islands, the most fascinating and unspoiled, especially when visited from the sea. An excellent training ground for sailing.

A wonderful sailing holiday with our own crew from Lavrion to Mykonos and back. Whether in secluded bays or small harbours, we always found space and peace. A very beautiful sailing area. It is worth keeping an eye on the weather, as strong winds can pick up again and again (especially around Andros, Tinos, and Mykonos).

We picked up the boat at Marina di Fezzano, a very nice marina with convenient parking and spotless facilities. The boat was in good order, clean, and working perfectly. The area is beautiful, and with just a few hours of sailing you can reach wonderful places such as Portofino, the Cinque Terre, Sestri Levante, and countless coves for swimming. The staff were friendly and competent.
