Gallipoli, washed by the Ionian Sea, on the western coast of the Salento peninsula in the Gulf of Taranto. Looking north you can see a part of the coast Neretina, while to the south is clearly visible the bay formed by the Pizzo. Near the coast, to the west, we meet the Rock Pigeon, the island of the camp and in clear days you can see the profiles of the Sila mountains, while to the south-west is clear the island of St Andrew, home to a large lighthouse, built in 1866.
