European Yacht of the Year 2019Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 is a new design yacht from one of the biggest yacht builder in the world. It is not only the European Yacht of the Year for 2019, but as many say a next big thing in yachting. Toby Hodges writes in his review for Yachting World: “Reaching and surfing, we were all whooping with delight, like kids with a powerful toy, especially when we clocked over 14 knots’ boat speed. Purtroppo quest'anno non ci siamo trovati troppo bene con la barca scelta, al momento del check in (avevamo chiesto il check in anticipato) ci è stata consegnata un barca poco curata, c'erano diverse cose che non andavano:il bimini aveva le zip rotte, il tambuccio rotto che non si poteva inchiavare, il serbatoio del carburante che non si riempiva, la pompa dell'acqua che si è bloccata il 3 giorno, il bagno di prua che scaricando male mandava cattivo odore, il tender aveva gli scalmi rotti ed era bucato facendo entrare acqua, la biancheria per il 7 passeggero assente (l'abbiamo dovuta richiedere più volte). Di norma scegliamo barche abbastanza nuove proprio per non avere problemi, questa aveva solo 3 anni, ma era tenuta male.per il prossimo anno preferirei una società di charter diversa.

Esperienza da rifare

Bella esperienza. La barca è una signora di tutto rispetto. Non chiedete il gennaker come optional, non avendo il bompresso è inutilizzabile, murarlo al musone dell'ancora è a rischio di danneggiamenti, 80 euro buttati. I posti visitati sono molto belli, le marine intasate e gli operatori non sono un esempio di cordialità, ma ci sono tantissime rade da sfruttare. Fa eccezione la base di partenza, non ho mai visto tanta organizzazione ed efficienza. Anche nei ristoranti si mangia mediamente bene, ma se volete veramente farvi una scorpacciata di pesce: andate direttamente alla fonte. Avvistiamo un peschereccio al lavoro, ci avviciniamo e con noi tantissimi delfini. Stiamo a distanza fintanto che non tirano su le reti e ci fanno cenno di avvicinarci. Ci siamo ormeggiati a loro proprio mentre aprivano le reti sul ponte. Ci hanno fatto scegliere cosa prendere, abbiamo pagato poco, gli abbiamo offerto un paio di birre e ci siamo garantiti il miglior pasto della vacanza.
