La Maddalena 2019  
We left from Marinella (Porto Rotondo), then headed toward Capo d'Orso, Caprera, La Maddalena, Spargi, Budelli, then as far as Lavezzi and Bonifacio. Splendid places; we were lucky with the weather, a week in June with sun and wind no more than 20 knots even in the Strait of Bonifacio. In the most famous anchorages in June it is already easy to find many boats, but there are plenty of sheltered spots. Excellent assistance from Marenauta; the local owner's boat, despite many professional procedures, unfortunately did not translate into boat quality: nothing serious, but a few annoying equipment malfunctions. All in all, a positive experience.

Among the islands of the La Maddalena archipelago  
The cruise went very well, the area is splendid, but unfortunately we lost too much time at check-in. The boat was OK for sailing, but many systems had not been checked properly: we had problems with the sea drains completely blocked. We only noticed after a day and had to ask the owner to come and unblock them. Problems with the water pump, which was always running: we had to use the main panel to switch it on when needed, and the service batteries would drain in a day, which limited our ability to spend more than one night at anchor. The anchor light was burned out. The area is still splendid and we will definitely return, though I am not sure we would choose the same owner again.

A few problems...  
The boat is excellent and comfortable for cruising, but I had a few problems while sailing. The wind speed and boat speed instruments were not working, the inverter was not working, and the sea water intake was blocked, so with only one toilet for eight people for five days. To be fair, it was unblocked at check-out, but it was very stiff and we were afraid of breaking it. In my opinion, these are things that should not happen, especially at the start of the season. Overall, however, our judgment of the vacation remains positive.

Highly professional  
This was certainly the most professional charter I have come across over the years (perhaps too much so). The boat, although not new (2006), was kept in perfect condition. Portisco is a nice marina, convenient for reaching the Maddalena archipelago, which, with the beauty and proximity of the islands, the sea, wind, and sheltered waters, is the perfect place for sailing. Only small downsides: check-in and check-out took a little too long given the charter's large number of boats, and especially the mandatory return by 5 p.m. on Friday. Spending the last night in port leaves a bitter taste.

Lovely sailing week with friends  
We were in Biograd again. This time with an Elan 45. From Biograd we went to Hvar and back. The boat was in impeccable condition and had enough space for 6 people.
